Thank you for allowing me the privilege of teaching your children.  I have enjoyed getting to know and teaching each one of them.  I will miss them when they move on to first grade.

 Dear Families,

April Showers Bring May Flowers and the end of the school year!  It has been a great year and this is our last month of pre-school.  We would like to thank the parents and children for all the memories and donations.  The program would not be a success if it wasn’t for you.  God has blessed us in many ways.  Thank You.

A special “Thank You” to Ms. Becca who joined the Terrific Two Program in April.  Due to the additional enrollment in the program, Ms. Becca who is very well known at the nursery has been helping out.

In the month of May, we have 3 new themes to explore.  The color for the month will be purple.  The Mother/Grandma’s Tea will be held on Thursday, May 6th.  Our Graduation day & picnic will be held on Friday, May 28th.  Hope to see everyone at the events.

Our first week is called “May Flowers”.  We will introduce the Color Purple along with the Number 19 and the Diamond Shape.  The second week is called “Friendly Monsters.”  We will introduce the Letter Y along with the Number 20.  The third and last week we will have fun with “North American Animals” along with reviewing the Letter Z.

Please remember that Vision has a Summer Camp that will start in June.  Please call if you are interested for more details.

God Bless and have a great summer,

Howdy from the Nursery!  Wow, it’s May already!  Next month, June, Nick L. and Jenny J. will turn the big #1 and Jordan B. will turn 2 years old!  Happy Birthday!  Time surely flies by way too fast!

This month we will continue to learn about flowers, plants, and about Creation.

Wishing everyone a safe and super summer!

Just a reminder:  Please bring in sunscreen, cooler outfits for the extra clothes, and no canned food.  Thanks!

Three's Preschool

Ms. Thea Nackrelli

As we prepare for our last month of class, our classroom is buzzing with excitement!  We have two big events coming up in May.  The first is our “Morning with Mom” breakfast.  This is scheduled for Thursday, May 6th.  It begins at 9:00a.m. with great food and continues on with crafts and games.  This event promises to be a wonderful time with your child.  We have lots of surprises planned, so I hope to see you there.

Our second event is Graduation Day!  Wow can you believe we’re already here!  We will be practicing at Crossway Church during class time Thursday, May 27th and then our ceremony will be held on Friday, the 28th.  After our program all are invited to an all-school picnic at Garfield Park.

Our 1st week in May we will be busy practicing our music and making special presents for all our mommies!  During the 2nd week in May, we will begin our new theme “All About the Sand and Sea”.  We’ll explore sailing the sea, diving under the sea, and the sandy seashore.  We’ll meet Xavier the X-ray expert, Yorky, the yellow jacket, and Zach the Zebra as we finish our alphabet with the letters X, Y, and Z.  We’ll also focus on the colors brown and black.  Our shape will be an octagon, and our number feature will be the #12.

Throughout this busy month we’ll even find time to complete student assessments!  As we head into the final chapter of our school year, I am reminded of how much your little ones have grown.  They have made such great strides in their growth and development.  I am so proud of each and everyone of them.

I have enjoyed this year tremendously!  To be able to see the world through the excitement in their eyes has been such a blessing in my life!  To quote one of our graduation songs, their accomplishments are as “Wide As the Ocean!”

Thank you so much for the opportunity to be a part of your child’s life and educational experience this year. Your children will forever hold a place in my heart!  May God bless you all!

Now I know my ABC’s...Oh!  I have that poem stuck in my head because we are learning our songs and poems for graduation.  I can’t believe graduation is just a few weeks away.  It seems like I  was just meeting you and your kids at Parent Orientation!  Okay, time does fly when you are having fun, and we definitely had fun this year!

However, there is still more fun to have this school year.  In May, we will be learning the letter Xx (the last letter to be learned), continuing practice of sounding out 3 letter words, and we will be reviewing the letters from the whole year.

In math, we will be introduced to adding and subtracting, and continue our practice with recognizing coins and their worth.

We also have a few things to look forward to in May, such as our Mother’s Day Tea, testing for report cards, and don’t forget graduation!  What a wonderful way to end a terrific school year!

3's & 4's Preschool & Pre-kindergarten

Mr. Jason Hoover

Your child will be busy playing in the dirt as we begin our new unit Animals, Animals, Animals. During this unit, we will learn about some very special animals - those that are endangered. Tigers, mountain gorillas, orangutans, and manatees are just a few of the endangered species we will study. We will learn why these species are endangered and what people can do to help save them. We will discuss how God made all the animals on the earth and gave them gifts and a purpose.   During this unit, we will also explore the importance of conservation and recycling. Take time to talk about ways your family can save water and energy at home. From new technology in light bulbs to turning off the water while you brush your teeth. Your kids will love to see the ways they can help save our planet. In addition, try to recycle as much paper, plastic, glass, and aluminum as you can.   Graduation is also upon us. I was so happy to serve these parents and children. I enjoyed many great moments this year and tear up just thinking about my students moving on. I hope everyone enjoyed our time together and will leave with great memories and a good head start.

God Bless, Mr. Jason
