At Vision Christian Pre School And Kindergarten, We Believe Keeping Parents Informed Of Their Children's Progress Is Just As Important As Teaching Their Children.

We publish a school newsletter September - May. It lets the parents know of upcoming events and what was accomplished in the classroom each month.

Our monthly parent newsletter is designed to inform parents of activities and special events for each age level. The letter also provides information on upcoming dates for events.

We’re going to have a Wacky Time this month!  The best thing about being a child (and being a 2’s teachers) is being silly.  Our goal is to be silly everyday this month.

The Terrific Twos Dad’s/Grandpa’s Breakfast will be held on Tuesday, March 16th.

There will be no preschool on that day. Please come have breakfast and then have a play date with your child meeting their school friends.  Further details will be provided at a later date.

In the month of March, we have 3 new themes to explore.  The color for the month will be green for St. Patrick’s Day.  St. Patrick’s Day is on Wednesday, March 17th.  Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Our first week is called “Wacky Week”.  We will introduce the Color Green along with the Number 15 and the Square Shape.  The second and third week is called “Changing Weather.” We will introduce the Letter S with the Number 16.  The last week we will have fun with “Bunches of Bunnies” with anticipation that spring (observed on March 20th) and Easter is coming soon.  We will also review the letters U.

During this Lent season, show your children how they can prepare their hearts for Easter.  Children need examples to understand the concept.  The important thing is that the children understand that Lent is a time of preparation.  A time to get our hearts remembering that we are sinners and that Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sins so that we can still be close to God.  God is good!

 God Bless,

The Nursery

Brrr!  Is it Spring yet?  Hopefully it will stop snowing son and warmer days will be here.  All of us are looking forward to sunshine and actually seeing green living things outside.

Talking about green, this month the ones will be learning about the color green, signs of spring, shamrocks, and kites.  It is going to be another exciting month.

Some very exciting things that have happened in our Nursery this past month have been Nate is walking; Nick is crawling; and Jenny is sitting and rolling everywhere!  Almost all of our guys are on the move.  It is wonderful to see how they grow and God makes each one unique just like each snowflake.

Praying for warmer days ahead!  Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Beginning in February we also have a great fundraising opportunity.  BoxTops for Education is coming to Vision!  This program requires very little commitment.  All you have to do is collect box tops off of various household items you are already purchasing.  Each BoxTop we collect can be turned in for 10 cents.  As you can imagine all these dimes will add up quickly!  Money received through the boxtops for education program will be used towards field trips, curriculum additions, Christmas presents, and facility upgrades.  Look for a collection box to be posted beginning in February!  Thank you in advance for your help with this program.

Three's Preschool

Ms. Thea Nackrelli

Saddle up and join us as we head to the farm this month.  During our theme “All About the Farm”, our students will have the chance to learn about farm equipment, farm buildings, crops, and animals.  We’ll also talk about buying and selling farm products.  Along the way, we will explore letters, numbers, shapes, colors, and much more!

Our color and shape this month will be a white oval.  These will fit in perfectly throughout our theme. We will also explore the number  9 as we count  9 kernels of corn on our farmyard.  Students will explore special snack features including making our own butter, coloring eggs and making egg salad, and enjoying many of the fruits and veggies that come from the farm.

Rodney the Raccoon, Sam the Seal, and Tony the Tiger will make appearances in our classroom to help us learn about the letters R, S, and T.

This should put us on track to have a review week to remind us of all the letters we’ve learned about thus far.

It promises to be an exciting journey through the country as we enjoy all the farm has to offer.  I can’t wait to share in all the fun.  May God bless!

4's Pre-Kindergarten

Ms. Darla Shuster

Phew!  With all that snow  finally melting (for now),  I feel that we are ready to get back to work.  It seems like we haven't had class much this month, but it didn't set us behind in our curriculum.

In the month of March, we will be learning the letters L,E,K, and G.  Keep those big letters coming in.  They look fantastic.

In math, we will be learning the numbers 17, 18, and 19.  We will be looking at the two numbers that make up this one number, and counting to these numbers.  We will also be continuing to tell time to the hour.  We will be learning a new 3-D shape -- the cone.

Our nursery rhyme for the month is "Old King Cole".  Our character education rhyme is "Let's be Kind".

In reading, we will be blending phonemes.  We will also be learning to read sight words.  The words for the month are "the" and "is".

We will also talk about community helpers and citizenship.

From the Bible we will be reading the stories:  a little boy shares his lunch, Jesus heals Jairus' daughter, Jesus calmed a storm, and Jesus healed a paralyzed man.

Looking into the month of March, we will be very busy.  Among all our work, we will also be having our Father's Day Breakfast.  Watch the sign in sheets for more details.

3's & 4's Preschool & Pre-kindergarten

Mr. Jason Hoover

The Winter Olympics are in full swing and March Madness is soon upon us. This month we will be talking about all kinds of sports and games that adults and kids play. Covering everything from baseball to lacrosse. I am very excited for these lessons to come along and for the competitive spirit of my threes and fours to come out.

We will be talking about the letters K and G throughout our lessons. Threes and fours will be tracing and writing their first and last names which is very exciting. Our games will help us focus on positional word like "front", "behind", and "across from". Children will learn the value of team play. We will focus on prayer and the power of multitudes of people praying to God about the healing power and the encouragement that can come from faith in God. We will also discuss how God calls us to worship together. Showing children that God has a divine plan that includes fellowship among believers.

Our sports theme will really help us become good sports whether losing or winning we will be able to have a great time just playing the game. We will also take time to look at how to be a good watcher of different games and sports. Learning how to encourage our team mates and how to be gracious in victory and defeat.

Take the time at home to talk to your child about games and sports. Show them the value of winning and how to learn from losing.  I hope to have a wonderful time with all the students this month.
